B.Tech Finishing School

Placement prep that starts in Year 1, not Year 4

Six weeks of last-minute placement prep cannot replace four years of building. The Finishing School is a structured roadmap across every stream: the answer to the one question hiring panels always ask: “What have you built?”

01

Year 1 — Explore

Habits that compound: coding fundamentals, digital presence (GitHub, LinkedIn), first mini-projects and NPTEL starts.

02

Year 2 — Build

Ship things, not assignments: stream-specific projects, technical blogging, hackathons, first outreach to industry.

03

Year 3 — Apply

Differentiate: summer internships with a PPO playbook, semester-long capstone, personal brand and presentation skills.

04

Year 4 — Compete

Convert four years into offers: interview training, off-campus strategy, and placement-drive readiness.

NPTEL certification stacks

Five IIT-endorsed certifications mapped for every stream: CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, CE and AI&DS.

Intensive placement cohort

Resume and LinkedIn sessions already delivered; an intensive coached cohort targets IT majors like TCS, Infosys and Wipro.

Seller mindset training

Communication, presentation and pitching: the seventh criterion recruiters filter for, taught explicitly.

Why this matters for you

Hiring panels filter on seven things: real projects, problem-solving proof, internships, communication, self-directed learning, digital presence, and the ability to pitch yourself. Marks alone cover none of them. The Innovation Hub exists to cover all seven: intern inside a campus startup instead of hunting for certificates, build a capstone with real users, and walk into your placement drive with a GitHub profile and a story no other candidate in the room has.

Combined with SVIST's 30+ industry MoUs and the placement cell's recruiter network, the hub closes the loop: learn → build → intern → get placed.

Build something real in your four years
