Admission routes
B.Tech — 1st Year
Qualify WBJEE or JEE Main and choose SVIST during centralized counselling. Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics + Mathematics (per WBJEE board norms).
B.Tech — Lateral Entry (2nd Year)
Diploma holders enter directly into 2nd year through JELET. A 3-year diploma + JELET rank puts you in a 4-year B.Tech with 3 years to go.
MBA
Graduates from any discipline; admission per MAKAUT norms (CAT / MAT / JEMAT accepted). Seven specializations to pick at SVIST.
Diploma (Polytechnic)
After Class 10, via WBSCTE admission process. Diploma in Computer Science & Technology or Mechanical Engineering.

Documents you'll need
Class 10 & 12 marksheets, rank card (WBJEE/JEE Main/JELET as applicable), school-leaving/migration certificate, Aadhaar, caste certificate (if applicable) and passport photos. Diploma marksheets for lateral entry.
Worried about fees?
SVIST fees follow Govt. of West Bengal regulations (see the fees page) and eligible students can combine institute scholarships with SVMCM, Aikyashree or OASIS, plus bank-loan assistance. Scholarship details →
