Successfully Completed: One-Day Industrial Visit
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology, organized a one-day industrial visit to Tikiapara Coaching Depot (TKPR), Eastern Railway (Howrah Division) on 18th March.
Our B.Tech 3rd & 4th year students gained hands-on exposure to:
🔹 Railway coach maintenance
🔹 Industrial safety practices
🔹 Real-time engineering applications
🔹 Technical depot operations
This visit was a great step towards bridging classroom learning with real-world industrial experience.
We sincerely thank the officials and staff of TKPR for their valuable support and guidance.

SVIST is proud of its student, Mou Rani Hutait, and her team of the Mechanical Engineering Department for exhibiting excellence in the Women Start-up Conclave-2026: “She Leads India”. Their innovative idea, INDROVE, for a safer, cleaner and better India garnered much interest.
The conclave was organised by Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata on March 13. It was under the prestigious Bharat Start-up Grand Challenge 2026. The participants received certificates of their presentation.

🔬 One Day Workshop on Virtual Labs
🚀 We are delighted to announce that Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science & Technology (SVIST) is organizing a One Day Workshop on “Virtual Labs”, an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, in association with IIT Kharagpur.
This workshop aims to introduce students and faculty members to the concept of Virtual Laboratories, enabling them to perform experiments and gain practical knowledge through an advanced online simulation platform. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore how technology is transforming laboratory learning and making education more accessible and interactive.

Mr. Saugata Samanta and Mr. Najmul Islam Molla, 3rd-year students of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), have secured the Runner-Up Solution (2nd Position) at the prestigious TECHATHON 3.0. Their innovative solution was recognized among 28 shortlisted best solutions presented by students from various institutions in the second round of the competition.
This significant achievement was accomplished under the able guidance of Dr. Samrat Paul, reflecting SVIST’s strong culture of mentorship, innovation, and research excellence.
